Art Holiday Essay

Throughout this project I have discovered many things about the decisions I make in my production. The results of my questionnaires lead me to think about all the different impacts color choice can have. Using dull, dark colors make people think the artist is trying to portray something scary or serious while using many bright colors make people believe the artist is going for something happy or fun. The results of my questionnaires lead me to change some of the colors in my tie and on the birds and the results lead me to change my mark making by adding more variety and different kinds of utensils. My results also lead me to continue my use of flowers, nature and motifs I tend to use in my artworks. Something similar about the way I work in all of my compositions is my neatness and use of nature. Also I enjoy using paints in my work as well. My directions concerning representation is the illustrative aspect is that a bow tie represents a man and a human skeleton represents that everyone’s the same underneath their skin color and gender. For the artistic aspect of the composition, everyone will relate to the birds cracking the skull in their own way. It is meant to symbolize women trying the get through to men’s brains that they should be treated equally and not inferior to men just because they are a different gender. All of these things have impacted my artwork and the decisions I make in my composition.
